Bahrain to Malaysia

The Bahrain Grand Prix was scheduled for the weekend of 10-12 April but due to conditions in the Middle East the race did not go ahead. The rescheduled race has moved to the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia. The ‘Bahrasia GP’ is what some commentators are calling it.
It is 9 years since F1 raced at Sepang and this weekend’s GP promises to be as lively as Baku was chaotic. Heat, rain, long straights, sweeping turns and a hairpin will provide the perfect circuit for an entertaining event.
Bahrain’s sovereign wealth fund owns McLaren so the GP is a home race for the papaya team, reflected in the lower section of the design. The remainder of the design showcases the colours of Malaysia’s beaches, the buildings of KL and the aqua of Petronas, a Malaysian multinational and sponsor of competition leaders (in driver’s and constructor’s championships) Mercedes.
There are 7 more races after this weekend, with the location for the final 2 (currently Qatar and Abu Dhabi) to be decided soon. Between the changes to the schedule and the implementation of new regulations the degree of difficulty in watching has been higher than usual.
