The temple of speed

The Monza F1 circuit embellished with red, green and white stitching and beads

The Formula 1 Pirelli Gran Premio D’Italia 2026 is at the Autodromo Nazionale Monza this weekend and has a special place in the heart of motor racing fans. The tifosi turn it into a sea of red and if a Ferrari driver wins, expect the best celebrations all year.

The championship has so far given us 5 different winners and championship leader Kimi Antonelli (Italy) will take a power unit penalty and be starting from the back of the grid.

Oscar Piastri will be hoping for a better result than most of this year’s races. This is another home race for him, thanks to his Italian heritage, recognised in 2025 when he received the Lorenzo Bandini Award which honours an F1 individual for “commendable performance in motorsport”.

This Circuit Maker design incorporates the colours of the Italian flag. The circuit is one of the prettiest, sitting in extensive parklands.
