Pearl of the Orient

The least said about the Melbourne Grand Prix the better for Oscar Piastri fans. So the hometown hero got to sit out the race and the fans felt great sadness for him.

On to China and the Shanghai International Circuit which appears as the symbol for ‘shang’ which means ‘up’.

Red was the obvious choice for the sequins, beads and threads for this piece. Red is auspicious in China and represents all the good things: prosperity, good fortune, happiness, success, vitality. The Pearl of the Orient deserved some pearls and the gold represents light and brilliance.
